Passion for Golf

AS GREEN AS GREEN CAN BE

IT'S (ALMOST) ALWAYS GOLF SEASON

Thermengolf Loipersdorf

Barely five minutes' drive from the SONNREICH are the picturesque meadows lying between the Feistritz and Lafnitz rivers. Nestling gently in their midst is what we believe to be one of the prettiest golf courses in the country: the golf course "Thermengolfanlage Bad Loipersdorf". It is a spectacular 27-hole championship course, designed for low-handicap players as well as being suitable for beginners.

What makes the course even more popular among golf fans is the length of its season. Thanks to the mild Pannonian climate, it's normally playable from early March through to December. Whatever the time of year, you can book your round conveniently at our reception – just as you should be able to at a golf hotel.

Golf courses in the surrounding area

The gently rolling hills and rich greenery of Eastern Styria resemble a gigantic golf course. So it's no wonder that there are lots of superb courses in close proximity to the SONNREICH waiting for you to discover them during your golfing holidays.

One of them is the 18-hole course at the Bad Waltersdorf golf club by English designer Michael Pinner. Its features compact fairways, with short footpaths, and is uniquely integrated into the landscape.

Reiters Golfschaukel Stegersbach is another highlight. The 45 fairways of the Panorama, Southern Burgenland and Family courses pose exciting challenges to golfers of all standards.

The Bad Gleichenberg golf club is a particular treasure. Despite having 'only' 9 holes, it's as tough as any full-size course.
